Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from your residence and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight to Kisumu City (approximately 1 hour). Upon arrival, embark on a scenic drive through Homa Bay to Mbita, taking around 2 hours.
En route, stop at Simbi Nyaima Crater Lake, a volcanic marvel wrapped in local legend — often graced by flocks of flamingos.

Arrive at Victoria Sands Lodge in time for lunch. After check-in, spend the afternoon relaxing by the lakeshore or swimming. Enjoy dinner and a cozy bonfire by the water before retiring to your room for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, board a speedboat or water bus to Takawiri Island — a paradise of white sandy beaches, palm trees, and crystal-clear waters in the heart of Lake Victoria. Spend the morning swimming, relaxing, or taking in the stunning island views.

Lunch will be served at Takawiri Island Resort. In the afternoon, return to Mbita and proceed to Rusinga Island Lodge for a memorable sundowner experience. Watch as the sun dips into the lake — a breathtaking sight that defines the lakeside charm of Western Kenya.
Return to Victoria Sands Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a scenic drive back to Kisumu City (approximately 2 hours). Upon arrival, catch your afternoon flight (4:00 PM) back to Nairobi, marking the end of a refreshing and soul-soothing lakeside escape.
